2024 Superior City FC Men's Tryouts

** READ THIS BEFORE REGISTERING**

SCFC is offering an open tryout for our UPSL men's teams.  Tryouts will be held at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex in Superior, WI on Sunday, March 24th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

In order to be selected, you need to register for tryouts by Friday, March 15th at 11:50 PM CT to be considered for our club's teams. Tryout cost is $50. Late registrations will not be accepted. 

Tryout Info: Players should arrive 30 minutes before the tryout start time and go to the Check-In Table with a valid ID or proof of event registration. Please wear a gray shirt, black shorts, black socks, shin guards and cleats. You will be given a numbered pinnie to wear for evaluation purposes. Players will be evaluated by club coaches and area soccer community members. 

Selection: Players will be notified of their team placement status within three (3) days of the tryout date via email. 40 players will be selected for the UPSL Men's teams. 

Season Dues: After team placement emails are sent, selected players must pay a registration fee of $75 via online form, Venmo, PayPal or cash by April 5th to reserve their spot on a team. In addition, UPSL players must pay $37 for insurance. If you plan to play this year, please start saving up! 

**If you ABSOLUTELY cannot attend the March 24 tryout date, but want to play, you still need to register for tryouts. After registration, the club will contact you for game film and coaching references for our coaching staff to review.**

Team Info: 

Superior City FC will compete in the UPSL Premier (Semi-Professional/Travel). Games begin April 20th and end July 13th. Practices begin April 1st and will be three times a week in the Twin Ports (Planned: M/Tu/Th/F from 7:30-9am in Proctor). Home games will be played at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex and away games are throughout MN and WI. **Players on this team may be moved down to the SCFC Division 1 team based on availability, practice/game performance and injuries, and players may be asked to practice with the SCFC II team.**

 

Superior City FC II (Wolfpack) will compete in the UPSL Divison 1 (Amateur/Travel). Games begin April 21st and end July 21st. Practices begin April 1st and will be three times a week in the Twin Ports (Planned: Tu/Th/Fr from 6am-7:30am in Proctor). Home games will be played at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex and away games are throughout MN and WI. **Players on this team may be called up to the SCFC Premier team based on availability, practice/game performance and injuries, and players may be asked to stay after practice to train with the Premier team.**

For the 2024 season, Superior Whalebacks FC will be selected on an invitation basis. Remaining spots will be opened up to the public after an initial roster is built after April 5th.  

Superior Whalebacks will compete in the DASL (Amateur/Local). Games begin May 28th and end August 4th. Practices begin April 1st, are optional to attend, and will be with the SCFC II trainings (Planned: Tu/Th/Fr from 6am-7:30am in Proctor). All games will be played at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth, MN. **Players on this team may be called up to play on the SCFC II Premier team based on availability, practice/game performance and injuries.**
