2022 SEASON REVIEW: SUPERIOR INTERNATIONALS FC

Superior Internationals FC wrapped up their season with a 4-6-1 record, and improvement from only one win the previous year. The squad finished 5th place in the Duluth Amateur Soccer League (DASL), losing to 4 seed OPOPO United FC in the DASL Quarterfinals. The 2022 season was a vast improvement from last year, with the Internationals' roster adding multiple players from the UMD Club and St. Scholastica college programs. A few highlights from the season were a 4 game unbeaten streak and handing Schultz City, the DASL's UW-Superior squad, their only regular season loss of the season.

Donovan Kerry, who managed the team as a player-coach this year, stated how he was proud of the squad's improvement over the season and felt that the group really started to click near the closure of the year.

The Wolfpack were led in scoring by Siji Gonzalez, who tallied 6 goals on the season. Secondary scorers were Kenge Lee and Brett Rodenberg, who both tallied 3 goals.

Superior Internationals players will combine with HWFC and play an unofficial fall season with friendlies against local amateur and college squads, and plan to compete in the Duluth Amateur Soccer League's indoor season this winter.
